Illustration I & II (taught in Spring and Fall) explores the practices and techniques of contemporary commercial illustration. From idea generation to advanced rendering techniques, this course prepares students for illustration work within multiple industries. There will be an emphasis on creating “digital” illustration (raster and vector based), as well as some traditional media exploration.
