Cal Poly to Showcase Student Films May 24-27
Cal Poly student films will be showcased in the University Art Gallery (Bldg. 34) Tuesday through Friday, May 24-27. An opening reception will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on May 24 in the gallery.
The films are a collaboration between two courses, Digital Video Production and Cinematic Process Digital Video. Students wrote, directed, edited and produced the films during winter quarter. Genres
include drama, postmodern crime and surrealist, and the films tell stories of conflict and connection, magic and murder, and love and loss.
The films were screened at the San Luis Obispo Film Festival earlier this year. It was the first year that Cal Poly student films were showcased at the festival.
