Job Opportunities

Photography Opportunity with the Theatre and Dance Department

Cal Poly's Theatre and Dance Department are seeking a photographer to capture headshots, individual images, and group photos to be used for our show poster and other publicity. We would need the edited images returned to us before the start of Spring Quarter. We can offer up to $250 in compensation, and will work with Theatre and Dance office to coordinate payment.

We are working with Michael Aponte to coordinate use of the photo lab for these publicity shots. Ideally, we would like to get these images taken in the evening during Week 10 (March 10th-14th). There will most likely be more than one night of shooting, and we will coordinate an exact schedule with the chosen photographer.

Additionally, we will need a photographer to capture concert photos during our dress rehearsals in the theatre (May 19th & 20th,  5:30-10pm), and we can offer between $250-$500 in compensation. This may or may not be the same student for both opportunities.

If you are interested, please contact us at sdcdirectors2025@gmail.com by end of day Sunday, February 16th with the following:

  1. Their name, year, and major

  2. A brief description of any prior experience, especially if they have experience with dance photography  (not required but is a plus)

  3. Their past work - a portfolio, link to their social media, or just a few images attached to the email works.
