ONGAWA - Looking for Artists
We are a group of Cal Poly students from various majors, including computer science, business, graphic design, and more, working together to create ONGAWA. ONGAWA is an innovative rhythm role-playing game that combines immersive gameplay with musical storytelling. The game allows players to experience and interact with music in unique ways.
Game Prototype: https://gelzonexunsas.itch.io/virtuosos
Gameplay Video: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1QAo3BiUKEayuJC9TUkrl-nrLBZKLLmd8/view?usp=sharing
Game LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/showcase/ongawa/?viewAsMember=true
One of the unique aspects of ONGAWA is our collaboration with indie musicians. These musicians gain more exposure and make revenue from players interacting with their game levels. Since musicians have different genres of music and want game environments that best fit their music, we are looking to work with various art students with different art styles. This diversity in art will help musicians convey different themes and stories.
In terms of art, we are looking for contributions in the following areas:
- 2D illustration
- 2D Rigging
- UI/UX
We believe this collaboration offers a fantastic opportunity for Cal Poly students to gain valuable game art experience in a professional working environment while also earning school course credits. We are eager to collaborate with students and faculty to make this vision a reality.
